Synopsis
Taoist Cui accidentally released the treasure-gathering golden toad in order to read the heavenly book. The golden toad coveted the prosperity of the human world and reincarnated as a human, Dou Zhanlong. In order to avoid the heavenly calamity, the golden toad tore the three souls and seven spirits in Dou Zhanlong`s spiritual cavity, creating nine clones, which fell into nine places respectively. The nine Dou Zhanlongs were in different parallel time and space, and each death gave rise to a new clone. They experienced "nine deaths and thirteen disasters" in total. Our story starts with the first Dou Zhanlong.
